Hello fellow human,
This blog dictates a 14 week journey of the study of a
hedgehog which is the pet of choice for our research assignment in the subject
ENG 61703 Engineering and Biomimetics. The reason we choose to study a hedgehog
is due to its ability to keep itself safe by rolling into a ball and surround
itself with "spines" that effectively absorbs the impact of a fall.
This finding could be used to design a better material structure in order to
craft a better helmet.
First and foremost, we would like to thank Dr. Yong Leng
Chuan for being the ever understanding lecturer for giving us this opportunity
to embrace nature's beauty into our engineering capabilities.
